I resigned from my job in the fifth month of my pregnancy — not by choice, but because my doctor clearly told me that my pregnancy was high-risk.

Health had to come first.
My baby had to come first.

But what followed that decision stayed with me far more deeply than the fear of leaving a job.

I kept asking myself one question:
“One day, will my daughter feel that her mother gave up her life because of her?”

I never wanted that.

I never wanted my child to grow up carrying the weight of my sacrifices.
I wanted her to see strength, not guilt.
Courage, not compromise.

That is where Iridescent Gems truly began — quietly, honestly, and with purpose.

Why I chose to build something of my own

Pregnancy slows your body, but it sharpens your mind.

As I rested, I thought about the world my daughter would grow up in — a modern world where women are expected to manage everything, yet often encouraged to depend.

And I knew one truth very clearly:
After me, no one will ever be there to protect or guide her the way I can.

So what would I leave behind for her?

Not just comfort —
but an example.

I wanted to teach her that:

I didn’t want her to say,
“My mother stopped dreaming because she became a mother.”
